TURAY WINERY

Founded in 2002 in Baj, in the Neszmély wine region, Turay Family Winery is a small, family-driven estate rooted in tradition and craftsmanship. Built around a historic 250-year-old cellar once used by the Capuchin order, the winery combines heritage with a modern, natural approach to winemaking.

Today, the estate is led by Kamill Turay, who farms 2.4 hectares with a clear focus on quality and precision. Production remains intentionally limited to around 6,000–7,000 bottles per year, allowing for a hands-on approach at every step. The winery is fully organic and biodynamic (Demeter certified), with strong emphasis on biodiversity, low yields, and manual work in the vineyard.

In the cellar, the philosophy is minimal intervention: spontaneous fermentation, little to no added sulfur, and aging in a mix of stainless steel, wood, and amphora. The result is a range of wines that are pure, energetic, and expressive  reflecting both the identity of the winery and its commitment to authentic, small-scale production.
